EIC takes your privacy very seriously and the security of your personal information is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines the type of information we gather when you use our site and how we handle that information.

Personal Information We Collect

  1. We collect all of the information that you voluntarily provide when you visit the Website and create an account with EIC. You can use the Website without creating an account, but many of the services will not be available.
  2. The server on which the Website is located collects and saves only the default information customarily logged by web server software. This information may include the date and time of your visit, the originating IP address, and the pages and images requested. These are common analytics used my most websites and the information is not linked to anything personally identifiable.
  3. Like many websites, our Website may use a technology called "cookies," which are small files that are placed on your computer by our servers that are stored by your browser to help keep track of your user profile. We would use cookies to track user trends and improve areas of our sites that our users find valuable, this information would not be shared with any third parties.
  4. EIC does not intentionally solicit or collect personal information about children who are under the age of 18. If you are under 18 and would like to use our web site, please ask a parent or guardian for assistance. EIC recommends that parents or guardians do not post, or permit others to post, any personally identifiable information of anyone under the age of 18.

Use of Personal Information

  1. When you establish an account with EIC, you will receive periodic emails based on your account activity, such activities may include the confirmation of loans or donations you have made, repayment notifications on any loans, notification of email or password changes, or any responses to customer service inquiries.
  2. EIC may send periodic newsletter emails. The frequency of these newsletters may vary. If newsletters are sent, you will have an option to opt out of receiving them through an option in your account.
  3. EIC may record and display anonymous lending activity on the Website and display the general regions where our lenders are located. This activity will not be linked to any personally identifiable information.
  4. You are responsible for any information you may provide as part of our community section. It will be viewed by any interested party visiting the Website.

Information Sharing

  1. EIC will not share, rent, or sell your personally identifying information to other companies or individuals.
  2. The billing information gathered for any transaction you complete on our Website may be used internally for the purposes of providing customer service. The credit card information you enter is not stored. When we need to disclose your personal information to one of our agents or sub-contractors for the purposes of providing you with any services related to our Website, the agent or subcontractor will be obligated to use that personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

  4. EIC may share aggregated statistical and demographic information in the course of our dealings with certain third parties. This information will not be personally identifiable in any way.
  5. EIC reserves the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process.

  2. EIC limits access to personal information about you to employees who need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

While we try our best to safeguard your personal information once we receive it, no transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
  4. If you follow any links that take you away from EIC’s Website, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. EIC does not control the privacy policies or the privacy practices of any third party websites.
  5. EIC is not responsible under this Privacy Policy for the privacy policies or practices of any third party.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

  1. EIC may update or modify this Privacy Policy. If any changes are made, we will reflect the date on which any such changes are implemented and posted by updating the "last updated" date at the top of the page. Please be sure to check this page periodically for any changes.
